Child Care Specialists

All of our caregivers hold CPR and First-Aid certification, have undergone background and reference checks, and are W-2 employed and insured via our organization. Whether you require full-time, part-time, or occasional. You can be confident that our care specialists will be there to support your family, providing a fun and nurturing atmosphere for your children.

Step 1

Family Intake

If you are new to our childcare services, your first step is to arrange an intake session. This virtual meeting allows you to meet our care service manager, discuss your family's specific requirements, ask any questions, and learn how to use our booking system. Please be aware that there is a $99 service fee for the intake session, which covers your family's background verification before accessing our In-Home Care Services.

Kindly be aware that if you schedule an in-home care specialist before finishing step one and obtaining confirmation of your background verification, your service(s) will be canceled, and any payment made will be forfeited.

Step 2: Book as you need

After finishing your family's initial intake session, you will be able to schedule a child care specialist whenever you need! whether on a regular basis or as needed. Please keep in mind that a minimum 48-hour notice is necessary before booking to avoid an express fee. For immediate assistance, feel free to contact your Child Care Specialist Manager directly at any time.

Kindly be aware that if you schedule an in-home care specialist before finishing step one and obtaining confirmation of your background verification, your service(s) will be canceled, and any payment made will be forfeited.

Hello Misfit Mamas families! I am excited to be a part of the Care Specialist team! I have 4 years of experience with infants in both childcare centers and as a nanny in homes. Ideally, I would like to find a family with infants or toddlers that I can work with for a longer-term, part-time nanny engagement.

- I am unable to work in a home with dogs at this time. Cats and other pets are ok, as long as I’m not responsible for their care.

- While I do have my own transportation, I am unable to drive children of any age, at any time. This is a firm boundary.

My philosophy of care: I have training in the RIE approach to infant and toddler care. I believe that babies and toddlers are full persons, and their experience and emotions should be respected. I try to develop a secure relationship with each child so they know I am paying attention to their needs and personalities, and I will be there for them. Another part of the RIE approach is the importance of giving children autonomy. I believe strongly in the value of infant’s and toddler’s self-directed play experiences, and I tend to sit back, closely observe, and engage when invited by the child. I have found that this approach of respect for young children’s competence helps build a strong relationship and supports healthy development over time.

My background is in music, and I have developed a special interest in early childhood music over the past several years. I am familiar with research about how children learn music and enjoy integrating music experiences throughout the day. If you’re familiar with Music Together, my approach is similar.
