The Misfit Mamas Clothing Swap

Join us for another one of our famous Misfit Mamas Clothing Swaps!

Yup as the Spring season comes to full swing, it's time to clean out the house! Go through your clothes, your partners clothes, your kids clothes, heck even your pets clothes if you want! Don't stop there, shoes, accessories, books, small house hold items, are all welcome! 

How it works: 

Sort the things you've collected your family no longer wants or needs. Clothing should be in trash bags that have the sizing written on it. For infant clothing we sort Premiee, NB-6mo, 6mo-12mo, 12m0-18mo. once you hit toddler sizing and up we ask each one goes by the size. 2t, 3t, S, M, L etc. Adult clothing should be done the same. Books, toys, shoes, accessories, and other items we ask that you sort into boxes labeled. 

Everything will be spread out into piles, racks, or tables based on the sizing or what it is. We'll be  emailing attendee's the week leading up to arrange a drop off of their belongs at a drop sites so that the team can lay it all out in their sizing piles a few hours prior and save time. 

We'll all have large bags and will be able to go around the room and visit the various piles and sort through the items and collect what we'd like for our familes. If there are other mamas that are interested in an item you found sorting, we play fair and do a tie breaker game like rock paper sissors to decide who gets to add it to their bag. There is NO limit to how much you can take, mamas usually walk away with an average  4-5 trash bags of new wardrobes for themselves, partners, and children in various season to boot! PLUS other cool toys and house hold items they have found. 

Throughout the time swapping we will enjoy light refreshments as well as play a few of our favorite swap games that always leave everyone laughing- and the winners get some awesome prizes too. You are always welcome to bring a dish to share with the group as well. We usually find it turns into a pot luck with plenty of options- yum! 

We request a $25 donation for our specaility events, to help cover cost and venue space. If you are unable to make this donation please contact the Helping Hands team so that we can get you a sponsored spot. They work hard to make sure all families get to particpiate in the fun here.
